Marketing during Christmas is easy given that most Americans celebrate the holiday by buying gifts for everyone they know. Easter, however, can be a little trickier. An estimated 85 million of Americans celebrate Easter each year and if you get your marketing right, you can get some extra business.
Give your customer ideas
No matter what gift-giving holiday comes up, one thing is always certain: people need gift ideas. Traditional Easter baskets are usually loaded with candy and a toy or stuffed animal or book. However, many people are trying to steer away from traditional ideas and come up with better baskets.
Nudge your customers your way by recommending your product or service as an Easter basket gift. Whether through text marketing, an email, or even social media, a quick picture displaying your idea or just text explaining it is enough to get current and new customers interested.
Don’t underestimate what your customers may be willing to spend on the holiday either. Some people look at Easter as some small egg hunt type of holiday while others consider it to be their favorite time of year. In fact, Easter is becoming a bigger holiday with every passing year. If you aren’t doing any Easter marketing, you are missing out.
Discounts this week
It is almost Easter, but fortunately, most people wait to do their Easter shopping until the day or two before the holiday. That means you still have plenty of time to make your case.
Send a quick text to your customers giving them a discount. Something such as “Buy one get one free for Easter!” or “Easter savings: 10% off” is enough to not only grab their attention but remind them that Easter is this weekend, and it is time to buy some gifts.
Whatever you do, don’t forget to get started right away, so there is still time for your customers to get their Easter gifts prepared.
